CARMIM, through its Management, assumes a clear commitment to Food Safety, Quality, Legality, Authenticity and Environmental Sustainability .

This Policy expresses the organization's responsibility to ensure high standards of performance, aligned with the best practices in the sector and in compliance with international standards: ISO 9001 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System) and IFS Food (International Featured Standard Food).

CARMIM's policy aims to consolidate its position in the quality wine and olive oil markets, both nationally and internationally, in order to achieve sustained and balanced economic and financial growth. Its main commitments are ethics, transparency, and rigor in business, environmentally responsible manufacturing, and the supply of products with Food Safety, Quality, Legality, and Authenticity that satisfy its customers and stakeholders. It also undertakes to communicate the relevant environmental and food safety aspects of its products to employees, customers, suppliers, and official entities.

We ensure the transmission and promotion of a culture of food safety based on the following commitments:
  • That Quality, Food Safety and the Environment are the responsibility of all Employees, combining traditional know-how with the most modern technology, always complying with applicable legal and Customer requirements, in order to obtain a high standard of Quality in the products we manufacture;
  • Ensure food safety throughout the supply chain, ensuring the three aspects: Food Safety, Food Defense, and Food Fraud, for marketed products, using the resources defined by the HACCP methodology and the IFS Food standard; ensure the appropriate competence and accountability of employees for these activities.
  • Continuously train our employees and provide them with a positive work environment so that everyone feels motivated, engaged, and involved in the tasks they perform. Encourage their participation and involvement in simplifying, modernizing, and optimizing the Management System, processes, and resources; ensure employee feedback and commitment on how goals, objectives, actions, and indicators are defined;
  • Establish a partnership relationship with our Suppliers and periodically evaluate their performance, in order to guarantee Food Safety, Quality, Legality and Authenticity and Environmental Protection of the products we supply, which allows us to provide our Customers with products and services increasingly adapted to their needs and expectations;
  • Control access to facilities and restricted areas, to the software used, identify all employees and ensure the monitoring and follow-up of service providers, suppliers and visitors, along with surveillance of the facilities;
  • Create conditions for human development and the growing well-being of all, preventing pollution and contributing to a healthy and ecologically sustainable environment, thus achieving a growing environmental and social dimension;
  • Promote and ensure the minimization of the impacts of our activities and those of our associates at any stage of the life cycle, taking measures and actions to protect the environment, prevent pollution, ensure the sustainable use of resources, mitigate and adapt to climate change, conserve biodiversity and ecosystems, maintaining a balance between socioeconomic demands and the continuous improvement of the environmental management system;
  • To act as a lever for the economic and business development of the Reguengos region, enhancing the use and attraction of new possibilities in the field of tourism and other economic and social activities, through support for events, causes and institutions of a social, cultural and sporting nature;
  • In the field of ethics, we must promote non-discrimination based on gender, ethnic origin, religion, disability or political opinions.
CARMIM's objectives are the continuous evaluation of performance and improvement: of the effectiveness of its System, of Food Safety, Quality, Legality, Authenticity and Security in the Supply Chain of the products it manufactures and supplies; of the Quality of its work, of its employees and of the Satisfaction of its Customers; of the Environment through its preservation and by monitoring the significant environmental aspects arising from its activities, establishing as an individual objective the good execution of tasks the first time and the implementation of the Culture of Quality and Food Safety in the organization.
